Ephemeral

Fleeting short posts.

  • Cancer sucks.

My dad had it. One of my brothers had it. Two of my best friends have it. Another close friend has it bad. An online acquaintance has been dealing with it for years.

All different kinds of cancer. All different kinds of people affected.

If you’re dealing with cancer right now, or have a loved one who’s dealing with it, or lost a loved one to cancer, my heart is with you. 🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

  • Being an adult means that in preparation to binge watch anime, I can run to the kitchen for last night’s leftover pizza, while chanting to myself “PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!”

  • I like humans similar to how I like books: I appreciate an attractive cover, but the content inside is what counts.

  • The older I get, the less I feel my age.

And yet, all around me there are markers of the passing of time. Changes in my body. Changes in the people around me. Changes in nature.

Today, as I enter my 43rd cycle, I feel deep respect for Life in all its facets. May my life honor myself, others, and the Universe.

    🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

  • Ok here me out.

    What if…?

    Biden pardons Luigi.

    Just saying. 😏

  • My niece picked «Hot Frosty» as our Friday night movie. She’s loving the cheesy romcom. 🙃

  • This morning, on the eve of my birthday, my niece says to me:

    “Mimi you’re expired.” 😵

  • Rhythms.
    That’s life.
    The passing of time.
    The changing of seasons.
    The evolution of a person.

    Rhythms.
    Alternating between
    fast and slow.
    Music meter marking
    the beats and the pauses.

    Rhythms.
    More felt than seen.
    Ever flowing and
    invisible to those
    who don’t notice.

    Rhythms.
    Temporary shelters
    from mental anguish.
    Painful reminders of
    what is broken.

    Rhythms.
    Secret gateways
    to higher consciousness.
    Meditation portals of
    insight.
  • I was disappointed with the DanDaDan season finale. There were some good moments between Okarun and Jiji. But the ending was weak.

  • My biggest worry about an apocalypse or wilderness living scenario is the bathroom situation.

I need to learn how to poop without making my habitat a toxic wasteland. 😅
