When I was a kid, watching Saturday morning cartoons was a ritual.
Now that I’m an adult, that Saturday morning ritual continues with watching anime.
My inner child is alive and well. 👦🏽
A young man in his 20s told me today that a conversation we had last month kept him from falling into the far-right pipeline.
Back then, he shared ideas he’d read online and asked my opinion—not out of defiance, but because he felt safe. He knew I wouldn’t judge or dismiss him.
That talk sparked something. He dug deeper, educated himself, and saw the extremism in far-right content.
One conversation kept him from extremism.

Last night I started watching «Star Wars: Skeleton Crew» with my niece, and she loved Wim’s room and house. Her exact words were:
“Will you buy me that house so we can live there?”
She genuinely loved the futuristic aesthetic.
If I could, I would buy it for her. 🥺

I’m averse to dying, but I embrace death.
Dying is the often painful and uncomfortable process of reaching the end. Death is the end of one life and a transition to another realm of existence.
In a way, I’ve died several times throughout my life. I’ve reached the end of some things (sometimes painfully and uncomfortably), and I transitioned to other realms of existence.
I’ll probably experience more dying and death throughout my life, until I reach those last two great ones.
I’m just gonna come out and say it:
Romance anime are my favorite. They always get me in the feels and fill up my romantic cup.
Just started watching Blue Box, and already in the first episode I relate to Taiki so much. 😅
Banter is my love language. A good back and forth of the intellect and tongue in cheek. The humor. The teasing. The playfulness unfolding. Gives me a high I can live on.
